Winners Best Puppy in Show

For Best Puppy, I couldn't get away from the Basenji who won with something in hand. (see BIS critique for Mr Crawford's comments on this hound)

Reserve to her was Chapman's Darsoms Ziana at Melminds - an 11 months rich red L/H Dachs. bitch, beautifully balanced and sound both ends, holding her outline well on the move, but couldn't match the sheer presence of the winner.

Third was Ellis's B/T Smooth Dachs. Tealby Tittle Tattle - a 9 1/2 months bitch of length, substance, style and quality and projects it all well on the move. A steady, confident showgirl just standing a shade bum-high which is natural at that age.

Forth was Goodson's wheaten Irish Wolfhound bitch - 10 1/2 months and very well-grown with great substance and a shapely, roomy body. Balanced angulation and a strong mover who covered the ground well and just needs to firm a shade in front.
